SOAP BROWS – Something That You Need To Try!

Hello everyone,

Yes. You read the title correctly and no, I am not going crazy. The soap brows are in trend and I AM SO HERE FOR IT! To all my ladies/gentlemen out there who have sparse brows and want thickness, volume and a natural finish – this one is for you. Enjoy!

One may ask what soap brows are … and well, it is exactly what you may expect. Soap brows are achieved by using:

  1. Soap
  2. Spoolie
  3. Setting Spray / Mist
  4. Your favourite brow powder/gel

I was rather sceptical towards this trend at first, I thought it was rather silly to use soap on your brows. Especially since i live in Scotland and it rains here a lot – I cannot imagine anything worse than turning up to work with foamy brows *eek*. So what changed my mind? Well, it was the fact that i saw a very interesting product on BeatyBay and I thought that I would just give it a go!

As you can see, this particular brow soap comes in a little 25g tin which looks super vintage (I love it!) and is produced by the brand ‘West Barn Co’. It retails for £12.00 which does seem quite pricey for what it is, however, its function is not that of a regular soap bar… and it performs better on your brows so I think it can be justified. Also, it is vegan and cruelty free. If you want to check out this product for yourself, click HERE.

Enough about the product info, and lets look at how it performs in real life. My brows are naturally thin and sparse in areas. Unfortunately I was not #blessed in that department. However, they are quite dark and I can make them work most of the time. Having a busy lifestyle means that I do not have hours on end to get ready in the morning anymore. When doing soap brows, it takes me around 3-5 minutes to do my brows which is great!

Tip: when doing soap brows, do them before your foundation as this will prevent any unwanted oxidisation of your shade!

There are six  steps which i follow in my routine to achieve a full, natural look:

  1. Brush your brows.
  2. Spray your spoolie with a setting spray or a hydrating mist and swirl that spoolie in the product.
  3. Brush your brows upwards and repeat step 2 again.
  4. With excess product, brush over the edges to make them into your desired shape.
  5. (OPTIONAL) Fill in your brows with some powder / draw extra hairs with some pomade. This step is good if you want a more intense look.
  6. Curve your brows out with concealer.

Easy? EASY!

I would rate this product a full 10/10 and I can say that the trend, although gimmicky, is actually really fun, quick and makes your brows look good.

If anyone has any questions in regards to soap brows, please let me know and I will be happy to chat some more about this!
