Dream of Flawless Eyelashes? Lady Burgundy and I Got You Girl! (5 min read)

Hey lovelies, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! How are you all?

Firstly i am sending you all massive hugs and kisses for sticking around while i was being less active due to settling into my Law Degree! I can now happily say that i am back and have a ton of new posts coming up once a week – every Wednesday.

To clear one more matter up, the lucky winner of my autumn giveaway was a sweet girl called Laura and she had informed me that all her goodies had now arrived and she’s excited to use them. If i see that everyone here is being active as per, i will for sure make another giveaway with even greater products! x

Now that all is clear, as per i’m introducing you to a new, cool brand… lets get straight to the eyelash talk.

At the beginning of October i had discovered Lady Burgundy lashes and ever since i am addicted. I use them daily and oh.my.goodness they legit transform my look from average to a-m-a-z–i-n-g.

FullSizeRender 5.jpg

For those who are not familiar with this fantastic American brand, Lady Burgundy handcrafts 3D silk lashes of the highest quality. The team is so lovely to speak to, a special big hey to Amrita! To read more about them, click here.

IMG_8286.JPG

The three styles of lashes that i chose were Lala, Amrita and Roya. This is the first time that i got my hands on proper lashes and i am so glad. Lets highlight the fact that i can keep on reusing them as much as i want to, as long as i give them a good clean at the end of the day.

Usually i would have never considered wearing lashes for an everyday look, afraid that it’s too much, but these ones look so real and flattering. Ever since i started wearing them to work or to my university people began to notice and say “your lashes are amazing, how did you do this?” and my secret to that is Lady Burgundy.

Since today is the 31st of October i thought why not to spice up the photographs a little bit and make it themed.

What else can make a photo more Halloweeny than a carved pumpkin!?

The packaging is classy, sturdy and pretty for displaying on your vanity table.

IMG_8478.JPG

Lala Lashes are my favourite ones. They make my lashes longer, fuller and more colour intense – score! I will definitely be repurchasing them asap.

IMG_8476.JPG

And as you can see these Amrita lashes have been well loved too. I managed to get them nice and clean of any additional mascara and eyeshadow for this shoot.

In the subject of Roya lashes… i think i wore them the most and when it came to take the photo today they were not as photogenic as the rest. I have probably used them about 10 times now and they can pull a couple of more looks to be honest! This just shows you how durable Lady Burgundy lashes are – definitely worth the investment! I’m so pleased.

Oh… I so took this photoshoot opportunity to get some nice themed photos with my fluff ball Faith.

Once again a massive Happy Halloween! How many of you celebrate this holiday? If so, have you got any plans for tonight?

Let me know what your opinions are on Lady Burgundy lashes that i have picked out 🙂 Which set is your favourite?

London Sea Life Aquarium: Way Too Much Fun (5 min read)

Hey you all!

Have you read my London: Sightseeing Gallery & Surprises post? If yes then great, if not then definitely give it a look! 🙂

Now let’s bring out your inner child in this post as we will see so many cool creatures.

P.s some photos may be quite dark because I was not allowed to put my flash on in case it scared the animals! Hope you understand. x

Enjoy!

IMG_7403.JPG

First awesome attraction is the clear glass tunnel as you walk into the building. It was actually quite scary to walk next to massive sharks! So much trust had to be put in to that glass layer.

Generally speaking I was so happy to be able to visit this aquarium. It was for sure the biggest that I’ve ever been to and the animals seemed to be looked after well.

That place literally made me turn into a little girl again, who got very excited to see wee fish and weird sea creatures.

This Sea Life aquarium had different sections, dividing species from different parts of the world. There was so much to look at!

IMG_7409.JPG

Above are some strange looking types of star fish, although I can’t remember what they were called.

IMG_7411.JPG

And here are some funky, living plants! By living I mean they moved all the time and in their own way interacted with the little fish in their tank. Or maybe this was some type of fish and not a plant? But I don’t see a tale…? If anyone knows what this is please tell me haha!

IMG_7413.JPG

I was told that the above star fish is the biggest of its kind in Europe (for now). The photo doesn’t do the justice, it was at least twice as big as my hand in reality!

Octopuses. They love to play with toys and perform logical tasks, I mean I did not know that they are so intelligent! Did you?

IMG_7416.JPG

* A grumpy fish.*

IMG_7418.JPG

I’m literally so bad at naming sea species, I do apologise! But this one was so funny! It kept trying to make me laugh and played peek-a-boo for ages!

IMG_7425.JPG

At the time of my visit, this aquarium was sponsoring and promoting Finding Dory. There was a whole room dedicated to the movie with all the fish that played in it too!

IMG_7445.JPG

Whenever anyone asks me what my favourite animal is, I will always say turtles and tortoises!

The photo above is hilarious. Imagine if the turtles were having a serious meeting and there was me standing staring at them haha!

I must say I was very surprised to see a penguin section. Me and Lyall must have watched them for a good half an hour, observing how they play in the water and run around! There was a bit to peek your head through into their home, and once again I made a little penguin friend. Lyall wanted one too, but no penguin came to see him… *sad violin music played*.

Lastly, as you exit the building there is a cake that you walk in to see the sharks up close. A good way to end the sea life tour!

Overall, I would definitely go back to this aquarium. There were so many different species to see and the place provides you with lots of information around the fish tanks so you learn. Although, as you could probably tell I didn’t really learn many fish names … oops.

What’s your favourite animal? Let me know 🙂

M.A.C Amber Times Nine Eye Shadow Palette Review (3 min read)

Hi!

I today we are talking M.A.C … one of my favourite High End brands ever! I have already published a few posts related to their make-up, if you want check them out here:

  1. Get A Free Lipstick From M.A.C Cosmetics
  2. Haul Time: Latest M.A.C Cosmetic Purchases
  3. M.A.C Favourites 2015

All caught up? Great, now lets get started!

So this is the first time I ever purchased M.A.C eye shadows… finally! I always wanted to try them out!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I instantly fell in love with it because of its travel size and you get nine beautiful neutral shades that can easily create both a night and a daytime look.

FullSizeRender_3

Shades:

Top Row: Cozy Grey; Kitties; Georgia Peach.

Middle Row: Ricepaper; Creative Copper; Cork.

Bottom Row: Don’t Tell; Aromatic; Pepper, Please.

FullSizeRender_4

This picture shows you how the Top Row shadows turn out on your skin. As you can see they are very gentle yet well pigmented. I love to use them for shadow transitions and base.

FullSizeRender_5

Here is the Middle Row; it features my all time favourite shade which is in the middle – Creative Copper. It is such a gorgeous gold & shimmery shade! I get so many complements while wearing it. It is well worth looking into getting gals.

sdg

Lastly, the Bottom Row: these shades are much darker and so work well in the outer corner of your eyelid and to define your lash line. They blend well and I generally enjoy using them!

Favourite Look:

The first look I love creating is by applying Cozy Grey all over my eyelid, Cork in my crease, Aromatic in the outer corner, Kitties in the inner corner & a thin sweep of Creative Copper all over the lid.Additionally, you can apply some Kitties on your lower lash line to highlight that area. 🙂 Blend it all together and you achieve such a flattering look!

Overall I give this palette a massive thumbs up! There are so many fun shades that will work with any look and most importantly it is such a great price for nine M.A.C shadows. My obsession with eye shadows is unreal right now. Are any of you guys in the same position haha?

Do you have any M.A.C eye shadows? If so what shades do you recommend?

Tanya Burr Cosmetics: All About The Lips (3 min read)

Hello everyone,

I hope that you all liked my previous Tanya Burr Cosmetics: Enchanted Dream Eye Shadow Palette Review !

Today I will review two of the lip products in her range: one lip gloss and one matte liquid lipstick.

Enjoy.

IMG_7215

I wanted to try out one of each type of lip products in Tanya’s range before collecting all of them. All lip products cost £5.99 which is pretty decent for a drugstore collection. Since Martha Moo was sold out and will be sold out until November/December time, I chose the next colour that I liked from the two remaining shades available at Superdrug. I decided to get Rhubarb & Custard. As for the lip gloss, Lunch Date caught my eye.

This packaging is so pretty. Gold lid and clear tube – I really like it.

IMG_7217.JPG

FullSizeRender_1

Above you can see the applicator for Rubarb & Custard.

FullSizeRender_4

And here is the one for Lunch Date.

The matte applicator is wider and smaller, whereas, the lip gloss applicator is long and narrow. They both work fine for putting the product on your lips and distribute it well.

FullSizeRender_5.jpg

Here are the swatches; Rhubarb & Custard on top and Lunch Date on the bottom. None of them came out patchy and smelt of vanilla and sugar *yummy*. However, the gloss is a little bit too sticky on my lips, maybe next time I should try patting on some translucent powder to mattify it a little bit?

FullSizeRender_3.jpg

Comparing both formulas I 100% prefer the matte liquid lipstick. It dries fast, has a great staying power and does not cake your lips. I really hope that Martha Moo comes back in stock real quick! Of course, I now also want to try out Puppy Paws. Maybe more shades will become available with time? I would love that.

So do any of you guys use Tanya Burrs lip products? What are your favourite shades or what do you think of the two shades that I picked out in this post? Let me know in the comment section!

10 Uses For: Coconut Oil (3 min read)

Hi,

Today I will speak to you about the ways in which I use the ever so hyped about coconut oil. Is it worth the attention and does it really work? I will try and help you make your mind up about that in this post.

Enjoy.

Firstly, I always reach out to this organic coconut oil by Midsummer. I love it because its ingredients are only coconut oil and no added flavourings or chemicals, and it’s approved by the organic soil association. This way I am sure of what I put on my body.

IMG_6913.JPG

There are countless uses for coconut oil, but below you will see my favourites:

1. Apply on the skin as a basic lotion.

2. Mix with sugar granules for a body scrub.

3. Use as a natural tanning lotion & after sun cooling lotion.

4. On cuticles to help nails grow strong and shiny.

5. Can be rubbed into your scalp to stimulate hair growth. I usually do this overnight and wash my hair twice in the morning to get off the excess oil.

IMG_3580

6. Apply on the ends of your hair to prevent splitting and make it feel like silk.

7. Rub on your face and then rinse with hot water & warm face towel to remove any type of make-up (even tough waterproof one). It will all glide off smoothly!

8. If you do the one above, your eyebrows will condition at the same time, stimulating their growth too! Talking about eyebrows, you can also use this oil as a brow gel to set your hairs.

8. Whiten your teeth with it – mix with warm water and keep it in your mouth for 5 minutes.

9. Apparently if you consume it daily then your immune system and even your metabolism will boost. However, I don’t like the idea of eating such oil daily so I drink coconut water instead! Same idea, less fat factor.

FullSizeRender

10. For these awful summer nights that you get a ton of mosquito bites, guys I got you. Just rub some of the coconut oil on your bite and it will stop itching & heal sooner!

Overall, I think that there should be hype about coconut oil: it’s natural, easy to buy and works miracles on almost anything! All of the uses I spoke about above I do on a regular basis or seasonally, and work for me. Bare in mind that everyone is different, and if your skin is combination-oily then maybe it’s not the best option for you to apply on your body.

Hope you liked this post! I personally adore coconut oil and since it’s sold almost everywhere there are legit no excuses towards not using it.

How many of you use coconut oil? Have you got any other tried out uses for it? let me know in the comments!

I wish you all a fabulous day,

Speak soon,

Latest Trend: Urban Essentials (3 min read)

Hey guys! I hope that you’re all having a great day.

This will be my first ever post related to ongoing/latest fashion trends. Therefore, if you enjoy reading this post let me know! I will continue to post them everytime that they change 🙂

The first trend I will talk to you about is my absolute favourite.

#Inspiration:

Urban Essentials is inspired by the catwalk shows of Clover Canyon; Red Valentino and Celine. It’s great that many high-street stores follow these influences and allow us to keep up with the latest trends in an affordable way!

Colour Palette:

It consists of a sharp palette of black; camel; cream and tones of blue. Furthermore, a contrast of Chilli Pepper adds excitement into the collection!

Style:

Overall, this trend is delivering a sporty, 90s feel to me. This is probably why I’m so drawn to it – I love to be comfortable and keep up with the latest fashion. This lets me have both!

Now, let’s be more fun. I went into my local New Look store and picked out my two go-to outfits & some must have accessory pieces from the Urban Essentials section.

Outfit #1:

For my first outfit I want to show you how to style a mesh, boyfriend tee for an everyday look.

The first way I’d wear it is with a white, sporty crop top that will pop the colour through the mesh. Pair it up with some acid wash jeggings and tah dah! I’m really loving this outfit.

IMG_6892.JPG

IMG_6893.JPG

IMG_6894.JPG

The second way I’d wear the mesh tee would be with a plain tank top. This might be a great option for those of you that would not be comfortable with showing too much skin.

IMG_6895.JPG

IMG_6896.JPG

Outfit #2:

This outfit will be perfect for these lazy days that you still want to look as if you made effort.

A red jumper will make you look fun and show a chilled vibe. I love how many different colours and styles are available in this jumper! So if you are not a red lover, definitely check out the different styles.

IMG_6897.JPG

IMG_6898

Accessories:

Major must haves are for sure chokers’, fluffy pom-poms and high platform trainers.

IMG_6899.JPG

The black, high platform trainers will make your legs appear slimmer and longer *how great* and will literally go with any outfit. It’s a great pair to own.

IMG_6900

The fluffy pom-poms will be a great accessory to your backpacks/handbags and even a cute way to carry keys! I own at least three different ones and my collection keeps on growing. Once you start buying it will be endless.

IMG_6906.JPG

And then we have the chokers. Everyone has gone crazy for them and I totally love them too!

IMG_6902.JPG

My personal favourite styles of chokers are shown below:

IMG_6901.JPG

But there are so many available!

IMG_6903.JPG

Overall, I am in love with this trend – it is so me.

IMG_6907.JPG

The biggest staple here is the acid wash jeggings. They are way more comfy than normal jeans and add a fun vibe to every outfit you pair them with. Do any of you guys own a pair of jeggings? I have about five now.

IMG_6908.JPG

And let me know in the comment section below which outfit you would be most likely to wear; Outfit #1 or Outfit #2? Also, would you like another post about another trend that is in right now?

Like, comment, share and follow!

See ya!xo

Isle of Skye: What It There To See (5 min read)

Hello guys!

How are you all doing?

I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading my previous post, if you have not read it yet, it’s cool just click here.

* I know that i said i will post the travel related articles on Wednesdays, but i was so busy with work this week. This was the only post i had actually scheduled ahead so i will publish it today. *

While on my road trip I was very lucky to be able to explore all of the beautiful Isle of Skye! In this post I will share with you the best tourist attractions that are a must see if you ever get the chance to go.

Let’s get straight into it!

Starting in no particular order:

1. Coral Beach, Claigan

IMG_5731

It takes about 20 minutes of walking to get to the Coral Beach itself. This little rock beach is just around the corner from it –  rather interesting. This circle was already there, and I don’t know who would be bothered to take time and effort to make it? Anyway, while on your walk you get to come so close to highland cows that are wondering around the same path too!

IMG_5745

There is such an amazing view towards the other corners of the Isle, it makes you feel like you’re at the edge of the world – just the Isle and the Ocean around you.

IMG_5742

At the start I thought it was all sand beneath my feet …

IMG_5734

But after a few minutes I have realised that the beach was called a Coral Beach for a reason.

IMG_5739

And the reason being – there is no sand! The beach is made out of bits of coral and shells, I found this so cool. I’ve never been to such a place before.

2. Fairy Pools, Glenbrittle

IMG_5818

My original plans included jumping in the water and diving under the underwater arch, however, the water was ice cold and I couldn’t even dip my toe into it. Shoutout to Lyall who did jump in but only because other tourist were cheering on him. #peerpressure

IMG_5824

IMG_5865

3. Skye Museum Of Island Life, Kilmuir

IMG_5700

This place had quirky buildings and showed you exactly what houses looked back then. Got to love a bit of history. Listening to Gaelic conversations was very entertaining too.

IMG_5699

4. Castle Ruins

I’m not too sure what castle this was, but it most definitely had a great view!

IMG_5687

IMG_5689

IMG_5690

IMG_5693

5. Portree

This is the capital town of the Isle of Skye. It has all the shops and tourist information points that you need! Its harbour is very colourful and looks great on pictures!

IMG_5619

IMG_5620

IMG_5622

6. An Lethallt, Staffin

This is a great view point towards the Kilt Rock.

(There was a lot of mist, that’s why the photo seems faded)

You reached the end! I hope that you like this post and the pictures of the Isle of Skye. It’s a really nice place to go to if you get a chance! Don’t forget that I will be posting travel related posts every Wednesday for the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.
