In this post i want to compare for you three different muted pink liquid lipsticks, at three different price points; ranging from drugstore, middle and high end!
In this post i want to compare for you three different muted pink liquid lipsticks, at three different price points; ranging from drugstore, middle and high end!
Firstly, are you all caught up with my latest posts?
Cool, now get back to this one 🙂
Lately i became addicted to L’oréal Paris make-up after i realised how high quality it is … plus it has such an affordable price! Two main retailers in the UK that sell this brand are Boots and Superdrug for anyone wondering. My main advice is that sometimes Boots has different products out to Superdrug, so to make the most by visiting both!
Gold Obsession is their latest collection launched at beginning of October as far as i’m aware. I really hope that i manage to grab all the remaining cosmetics in this range, you’ll soon see why i’m so obsessed! Although there is one product i’m very disappointed in…
Lets start with two lipsticks. Is there ever a time when i don’t buy a new lip? I don’t think so! I picked out these two shades for now.
The packaging is very pretty – goes with the theme perfectly and in fact, they are divided into two categories – all gold for the base colour and gold&black ombre for creating a little twist to your look. £6.99 each. Click here to buy the gold or here to buy the red.
The shades i picked up were 228 VIP (matte) and Pure Gold.
228 is the perfect matte red for a classic look, very sophisticated and build able. It’s also the first ever red lipstick to add to my collection – it was always a colour i thought i can’t rock but i’m giving it a go!
Pure Gold is self-explanatory, it’s a gold, sparkly shade that i had never come across before! I’m in love, once i wore it to work and majority of my customers complemented the look!
I feel that autumn is the one time of the year when you can full on play around with your make-up the most.
And here are some swatches! On the top you can see 228 (very, very pigmented), Pure Gold in the middle (that needs a few layers before you can build up the intensity) and the two shades mixed together in the heart.
Of course, lets not forget about a lip liner. Lip liner is so important when applying darker lipsticks and every line has to be neat. I saw this one being recommended beside the lipsticks and i was intrigued to see that it’s clear?!
Sounds confusing, but it is fantastic – once you neatly line your lips, magically the lipstick you go on to apply will glide on in the shape you created. How? It states that it is a contour perfector and a colour blocker. It solves the issue of buying many liners for different lip shades, this one does it all! You need to check it out. £3.99, click here to buy it.
Highlighter … yes, if i could i would apply this daily all over my face and become a glow goddess. However, this trend has not gotten here yet so lets get on with the review haha!
I always look to find a good drugstore highlighter, so when i saw this limited edition one i was over the moon.
It says that it’s a powder highlighter but it does not apply with a fan brush. When i swatched it, i realised that it had a wet feel to it, almost like a dense paste, really weird consistency considering the fact it says “Powder”. I then tried out applying the product with my fingers and it is the most pigmented highlighter i have ever seen! Usually £6.99 but it’s on an offer for only £4.99, click here to buy.
I have been hard core dedicated to my ABH Brow Pomade, so picking this Brow Artist Shaper Pencil myst have been an impulsive decision while shopping. Oh, it’s in the shade 03 Brunette; with a wax side and a pigment side also as a little brush. I’m not a major fan of brow pencils, because of how sharp the brows turn out, but i think that i will use this to draw precise hair like lines in any additional sparse areas of my brows after shading them in. £4.99, click here to buy.
Lastly, the product which i’m most disappointed with. I never give negative reviews to products but i actually have nothing nice to say about it. It let me down as i wanted to love it!
It is the Super Liner Ultra Precision Eyeliner in Gold. The whole idea is to have the intensity of a classic black eyeliner with a shimmer of gold coming through. However, when i wanted to create a look with it, no colour would apply on my eyelids! All that would show was some shimmer of gold and very faded black after various attempts of application. Not a good look. Then i decided to see if maybe the colour will apply on my hand, still with no luck.
As a final trial i drew some lines on paper – the top line was with a single coat, as you can see it fades so soon. Second line shows you 7 applications – the colour only just showed up. I think that this product is store exclusive to Superdrug as i cannot find a link to it! It was around £4.99.
I have no idea whether i maybe just picked up a faulty liner, or if it’s like that to everyone?
And here is an overview of all the products from this review.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
Do you use any of these products? What is your opinion of them? Alternatively, are you considering giving any of these products a go?

Personally, i am mega obsessed with all things Kylie Jenner and once she launched her beauty collection i freaked out. However, since i live in the UK it is hard to get my hands on her products. The shipping takes a long time and majority of time they are all sold out. I took on the challenge to find three Kylie Jenner liquid lipstick dupes!
I believe that they are almost spot on to the real ones, to see swatches and get all the details … carry on reading 🙂
I took a trip to some big Superdrug and Boot stores, and i was so pleased wth what i found. It took a lot of swatching and getting products all over my clothes haha!
Candy K ($29 / £24)
The first dupe we will look at is the Candy K shade – one of the most desired shades in her whole collection. It is a gorgeous matte, deep, darker pink (apologies, i have no idea how to describe colours) and i have found a similar shade by NYX Cosmetics.
The NYX Liquid Suede Cream Liquid Lipstick in the shade Soft Spoken (04) is like a twin to Candy K.
Buy this dupe here.
True Brown K ($29 / £24)
It’s easy to say that Kylie herself began the brown lip trend. True Brown K became so easy to find a dupe for – once again NYX Cosmetics have this covered.
The NYX Liquid Suede Cream Liquid Lipstick in the shade Club Hopper (22) is what you need to achieve the True Brown K look.
Buy this dupe here.
KyMajesty ($29 / £24)
This one is quite tricky to imitate by other liquid lipsticks. This one i have is also by NYX Cosmetics; a matte version, that you would need to add some glitter to in order to create the metalic look.
The NYX Liquid Lipstick Suede Cream Liquid Lipstick in the shade Foul Mouth (18) – it’s more of a base to achieve KyMajesty.
Buy this dupe here.
Here are swatches of the three shades after application & while wet. Starting from the top we have shade Foul Mouth 18 (KyMajesty), Soft Spoken 04 (Candy K) and lastly Club Hopper 22 (True Brown K).
… and here you can see what they look like nearly dry!
Now lets talk about their application, texture, durability, scent and price!
The application is smooth and the wands are specifically narrow in order for you to fill in your lips without a major fail.
Once you apply the formula all over your lips, it takes around 6 minutes for it to perfectly dry. It is very smudge proof which i’m so impressed with. In the course of one day i had various coffee’s, ate some meals and the colour was still on my lips!
The scent is not its strongest point – if anything it smells like a glue stick or some face paint. But this is not a major disadvantage – who will ever smell your lips?!
Lastly, price – it is so amazing. ONLY £6.50 at Boots.
If i bought all three Kylie Jenner liquid lipsticks i would pay £87 but instead i have just paid £19.50. I saved £67.50 and am happy with what i got!
Thanks for reading! Let me know in the comment section below if you are a happy owner of the Kylie Jenner lip kits? Alternatively, are you now tempted to try out my three dupes for her shades?

I hope that you all liked my previous Tanya Burr Cosmetics: Enchanted Dream Eye Shadow Palette Review !
Today I will review two of the lip products in her range: one lip gloss and one matte liquid lipstick.
I wanted to try out one of each type of lip products in Tanya’s range before collecting all of them. All lip products cost £5.99 which is pretty decent for a drugstore collection. Since Martha Moo was sold out and will be sold out until November/December time, I chose the next colour that I liked from the two remaining shades available at Superdrug. I decided to get Rhubarb & Custard. As for the lip gloss, Lunch Date caught my eye.
This packaging is so pretty. Gold lid and clear tube – I really like it.
Above you can see the applicator for Rubarb & Custard.
And here is the one for Lunch Date.
The matte applicator is wider and smaller, whereas, the lip gloss applicator is long and narrow. They both work fine for putting the product on your lips and distribute it well.
Here are the swatches; Rhubarb & Custard on top and Lunch Date on the bottom. None of them came out patchy and smelt of vanilla and sugar *yummy*. However, the gloss is a little bit too sticky on my lips, maybe next time I should try patting on some translucent powder to mattify it a little bit?
Comparing both formulas I 100% prefer the matte liquid lipstick. It dries fast, has a great staying power and does not cake your lips. I really hope that Martha Moo comes back in stock real quick! Of course, I now also want to try out Puppy Paws. Maybe more shades will become available with time? I would love that.
So do any of you guys use Tanya Burrs lip products? What are your favourite shades or what do you think of the two shades that I picked out in this post? Let me know in the comment section!

Today I’ll show you what has made it onto my next beauty shopping wish list. I always know what I want to spend my money on, but do I actually have that money at all times?! Not necessarily. #shopaholicproblems
Let’s get straight into it.
1. Chanel – Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Make-Up Base.
Ever since one of my friends let me use this … I have been thinking about it 24/7. I just need it in my life, so after my next payday this is a no brainer purchase!
2. Zoeva – Coral Spectrum Blush Palette.
I surprisingly don’t own any blush yet, this Zoeva palette seems like it has great shades (four of them) that are not in your face pink, and I would like to see how it adds to my everyday look.
3. Anastasia Beverly Hills – Glow Kits.
I love all of the ones that are out, however, I can never get my hands of them! They are always out of stock. If you own them then I’m so jealous.
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills – Modern Renaissance Palette.
One of the most beautiful eye shadow palettes which are out there, yet again always out of stock.
5. Kylie Jenner Lip Kits.
I must be one of the only girls out here without Kylie’s lip kit?! I always wondered how much the delivery charge is to the UK? If anyone knows then please comment, I’m dying to know.
**Photo credits go to We Heart It**
There are probably thousands of items that I would like to buy, as every girl does, but these are my top 5.
Do you own any of the products above? What is your opinion of them or would you suggest a nicer dupe for it?
See you in my next post!
Hey my lovely bloggers,
If you are reading this post then you are most likely a massive M.A.C Cosmetics fan like me. Although they are on the more pricey side it is well worth paying the money for their amazing products. So this shopping trip ended up with just over £100 in total for 6 products – crazy right?! Anyway, carry on reading to see what I bought and what I thought of it.
1. Two Studio Fix Fluid Foundations in “NC20” – £22.00 each
I swear by this foundation – I have been dedicated to it for over a year now and I constantly repurchase it, hence why I bought two, just to be stocked up. I apply it with either an Eco Tools brush or with a Maybelline beauty sponge. No matter what way I apply it, it does not show any streaks and covers up all my blemishes. The only thing I would say here is definitely go into a store and get one of the make-up professionals to advice you what shade to go for. Without doing this I would never know what shade to choose – there are so many!
2. Pro Longwear Concealer in “NC20” – £17.50
So I never owned a concealer before until I spoke to a M.A.C make-up artist who explained to me why to have it. Basically you apply the concealer on top of your foundation to cover up any nasty blemishes and it sounded like a fair enough reason to buy one.
Big mistake I did was not asking what shade I would need – so I went with my instinct. I picked up the same shade as my foundation in “NC20”, but little did I know what a bad shade choice it was. When I applied it onto my face I looked like a ghost… It was way too light for my skin! I’m still confused to why this is the case but life goes on.
Instead I use this concealer to highlight my brow bones and the bridge of my nose, for now I’m happy with using it for that purpose. It’s consistency is thick and looks gorgeous on camera!
3. Mineralize Skinfinish Baked Highlighter in “Soft and Gentle” – £24.00
I wanted to purchase this highlighter in forever! It’s probably one of my most loved products for two reasons:
A: it makes me have such a healthy glow, with a glided peach shade.
B: there are so many uses for it. Not only can you use it as a highlighter, but as an eye shadow too! Have any of you also tried using it this way?
4. Lipstick in “Velvet Teddy” – £15.50
I finally found a “Velvet Teddy” in the store! It only took me about a year… . I’m glad I kept looking for it and succeeded because it looks so adorable on and I can at last have my Kylie Jenner lip days. Its shade is a deep-toned beige in matte finish.
Below is a swatch of it:
5. Lip Pencil in “Subculture” – £12.50
I took ages to match a lip pencil with my new “Velvet Teddy” lipstick and “Subculture” was an angel sent from heavens. You don’t see many people using it YET … I feel the hype about it coming soon.
Here’s what it looks like beside the lipstick:
As you can see this lip liner allows you to build upon its colour intensity, I started from light to dark creating an ombré effect for you to see. So many other lipsticks can match with it!
If you didn’t already know … for every purchase you make with M.A.C they will give you a free sample. This time I chose to take the 6ml Prep+Prime Skin Sample and I plan to purchase the full size version next time I’m going make-up shopping. It makes my face feel soft and simplifies the application of foundation, it’s literally effortless as it glides on much easier than with no primer. Furthermore, with its help the foundation stays on for longer and does not move around.

Here’s a quick mid-week post for you, to find out what it is carry on reading!
Recently I have checked out some new shades of New Looks Pure Colour lipsticks for Autumn/Winter season. Here are my favourite brown shades:
1) Brown Pattern – I think that this shade would look perfect on tanned/darker skinned individuals. The formula is moisturising and does not cake on your lips. I am definitely purchasing this one next time I have some cash!
2) Light Brown – The formula is exactly the same as I described in Brown Pattern. However, I think that this one would look 100x better on people with fairer skin as it is a very light brown shade!
3) Mid Brown – I have already reviewed this shade, to find out about it click here.
Below you can find the swatches of Brown Pattern and Light Brown:
As I always say, I think that New Look beauty is so underrated! I will continue to review their products in the beauty range and prove how good they are to you. 🙂
Hopefully this was a nice, quick read for you! What is your favourite brown lippy and where is it from?

Speak later my lovlies,
On the 5th of July I was honoured to attend Queen Elizabeths Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh, Scotland.
I wanted to look my best that day and so I woke up at 5am to be ready for leaving the house at 9am. I put A LOT of effort into this look. To see what my hair and make-up looked like for this event, keep reading!
At first I was stuck on what I wanted it to look like – after much thought I decided to go for delicate and feminine.
For my face the make-up routine was pretty much normal – M.A.C Studio Fix Foundation, Pro-Longwear Concealer, A.B.H Contour Kit and Brow Pomade. To see how I always do my eyebrows, click here and to read about my contour regime click here.
This was the perfect time to use my rose gold toned Naked 3 palette.
I used “strange” to make a fresh, one toned canvas on my eyelids. I applied “limit” in the middle section of both eyelids and put “nooner” & “blackheart” at the ends. To really drag attention to my eyes I also blended in some “burnout” and “dust” on the bottom and the inner corners of my eyes. Sorry if this sounds confusing, but it’s very hard to give a written eye shadow tutorial!
My eyelashes are already quite full but I really wanted to add length to them. To achieve this, I used Eylure lengthening lashes which are rather easy to apply (and trust me, I suck at putting fake lashes on #struggles). I then applied my Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara to set them.
Not long ago I decided to chop my hair, to read about my experience and what triggered my decision for this click here.
But yeah, my hairstyle options were very limited so I just went ahead with some curls and volume. To protect my hair from heat damage I sprayed it with Vo5 “Plump it Up” heat defence spray and finally to keep the curls last all day I used Vo5 “Strong Hold” weather resistant hairspray.
I had to place a fascinator into my hair-do too, and it all turned out perfect at the end. I have purchased it at a local shop and you can see a picture of it below!
At last, here is the final result:
Oh did I say that I used Velvet Teddy on my lips? Well now you know!
This would be everything I have to share about my hair and make-up look. Stay tuned to the next couple of posts further telling you all about my experience.
What is your favourite special occasion look? I would love to hear about it in the comment section below!
Hey guys, just a quick post today.
Yes you’ve read the title right – there is a way of receiving a free M.A.C Cosmetics lipstick of your choice that is usually worth £15.50. You may now be wondering how? So here’s the answer:
Not many beauty fanatics are aware that M.A.C Cosmetics has a programme called “Back to M.A.C” which aims to recycle primary packaging that was purchased there. This includes: glass foundation bottles, glass concealer bottles, lipstick tubes, eye shadow palettes and so on! Every time you collect 6 containers you can take them to your nearest M.A.C counter and receive a free M.A.C lipstick.
I think that this is such a great idea and I personally need one more empty packaging to get my free lipstick! I even know which shade I will choose. All thanks to my major addiction to their Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in “NC20”.
To read more about the “Back to M.A.C” programme on their official page click here.
So have you heard of this programme before? What are your thoughts on it? I would love to hear from you in the comment section below!
Thanks for reading, I just though that this matter does not get enough advertisement and who wants to miss out on a free M.A.C lipstick opportunity? Certainly not me, nor anyone else I would think – please like & share to get the word spread to our fellow beauty bloggers.
**This post is not a direct collaboration with M.A.C Cosmetics, I’m simply a big fan of their products.**
