Fashion Round-Up: January – March Trends

Hello everybody, welcome to today’s post.

I noticed that my fashion sector of this blog is lacking content … and so i decided that every three months i will be making a fashion round-up/ review! Hopefully you enjoy this new series and it inspires you to get involved with the fashion world. 🙂

How I Clean My Brushes (3 min read)

Hey! I hope everyone is having a great day! 🙂

Cleaning your make-up brushes is so important – not only will it allow a nice & clean application every time but it will reduce the appearance of acne on your face. The old make-up product which builds up on your brush will have its own bacteria and dust settling, therefore, it’s almost a necessity to keep them clean!

Today I want to share with you two ways in which I clean my brushes. All of the products that I use in this post are new to me, however, last year I have mentioned another great brush cleansing product here if you want to check out another option.

One of my biggest obsessions this year (so far) has been buying brushes. My collection has grown so much and added another weekly chore to my weekly schedule – that is cleaning them.

I will now tell you two ways of cleaning your brushes – the first is a lazy routine and the second one is more time consuming. Let’s get started!

Lazy Routine – Quick Scrub

This method involves two things: a brush cleansing spray and a face cloth/towel. This month I have really been into using the New Look Pure Colour Brush Cleaner. This bottle has 200ml and only costs £3.99 … WHAT A BARGAIN! I am very happy with the way it cleans my brushes and it smells like the seaside to me:’) I highly recommend it to anyone that likes cleaning their brushes- it’s so worth getting!

All you need to do is spray the product onto the cloth and swirl your brush bristles around until they look clean! Takes a few minutes and dries very quickly, this is especially handy when you are using different shades of make-up and can make a fast switch on a clean brush.

Proper Cleanse – For People That Have Time

This method usually takes over night to complete and so I only do this once a week. For this you need: warm water, baby shampoo & I additionally use a brushegg to scrub the brushes.

All you need to do is soak your brushes in warm water for 20 minutes, then put a small amount of baby shampoo on the palm of your hand & swirl every brush in circular motion. Any make-up should instantly come off and change the colour of the shampoo. After this you rinse the brushes in cool water, squeeze excess water out and let them dry over night – tah dah you’ll wake up to dry & clean brushes!

I hope that you enjoyed this post, if so please like, comment, share & follow to stay tuned to the future ones!

Do you clean your brushes regularly? What method/ products do you use?

Thanks for reading.

Latest Trend: Urban Essentials (3 min read)

Hey guys! I hope that you’re all having a great day.

This will be my first ever post related to ongoing/latest fashion trends. Therefore, if you enjoy reading this post let me know! I will continue to post them everytime that they change 🙂

The first trend I will talk to you about is my absolute favourite.

Urban Essentials is inspired by the catwalk shows of Clover Canyon; Red Valentino and Celine. It’s great that many high-street stores follow these influences and allow us to keep up with the latest trends in an affordable way!

Colour Palette:

It consists of a sharp palette of black; camel; cream and tones of blue. Furthermore, a contrast of Chilli Pepper adds excitement into the collection!

Overall, this trend is delivering a sporty, 90s feel to me. This is probably why I’m so drawn to it – I love to be comfortable and keep up with the latest fashion. This lets me have both!

Now, let’s be more fun. I went into my local New Look store and picked out my two go-to outfits & some must have accessory pieces from the Urban Essentials section.

Outfit #1:

For my first outfit I want to show you how to style a mesh, boyfriend tee for an everyday look.

The first way I’d wear it is with a white, sporty crop top that will pop the colour through the mesh. Pair it up with some acid wash jeggings and tah dah! I’m really loving this outfit.

The second way I’d wear the mesh tee would be with a plain tank top. This might be a great option for those of you that would not be comfortable with showing too much skin.

Outfit #2:

This outfit will be perfect for these lazy days that you still want to look as if you made effort.

A red jumper will make you look fun and show a chilled vibe. I love how many different colours and styles are available in this jumper! So if you are not a red lover, definitely check out the different styles.

Major must haves are for sure chokers’, fluffy pom-poms and high platform trainers.

The black, high platform trainers will make your legs appear slimmer and longer *how great* and will literally go with any outfit. It’s a great pair to own.

The fluffy pom-poms will be a great accessory to your backpacks/handbags and even a cute way to carry keys! I own at least three different ones and my collection keeps on growing. Once you start buying it will be endless.

And then we have the chokers. Everyone has gone crazy for them and I totally love them too!

My personal favourite styles of chokers are shown below:

But there are so many available!

Overall, I am in love with this trend – it is so me.

The biggest staple here is the acid wash jeggings. They are way more comfy than normal jeans and add a fun vibe to every outfit you pair them with. Do any of you guys own a pair of jeggings? I have about five now.

And let me know in the comment section below which outfit you would be most likely to wear; Outfit #1 or Outfit #2? Also, would you like another post about another trend that is in right now?

See ya!xo

I Went Shopping Again… (3 min read)

Hey everyone!

Just a quick Saturday post, because it’s not as long as others.

Yes, yes, yes I went shopping again … woops. But this time I only bought around seven things, which is totally acceptable. #shopaholic

I haven’t done a clothing haul on here yet and I shop all the time. If you guys enjoy this post then I sure will start doing more hauls!

So let’s get straight into this.

Lets start with the adorable fake, smiley plant pots I got in two, adorable pastel colours! I am very bad with looking after real plants, I even killed a cactus once – like how?! So this will do nicely in decorating my window pane for now! I need to see if they do them in any more colours because I need them all.

New Look – £4.99

I bought this chocker top in the petite section. I never usually shop in that section because I am tall, but when I went a size up so it’s longer it finally fitted me well. Oh, and surprisingly I’m beginning to like wearing brighter colours than the usual black!

New Look – £11.99

I’m also trying to purchase more basic tees and bodysuits, mainly because they never get out of fashion and work with any outfit. This plain white bodysuit is great – you can dress it up or wear it casual. I’m even going back to get an exact black one next week.

**By the way, I tried to cover up my electric socket in the background with that emoji! Haha.**

New Look – £5.99

This skirt is simply the best one I own at the moment. The material is so soft & comforting and the light grey colour will work perfectly with the white bodysuit shown above! What other colours do you guys think it will go with?

New Look – £17.99

Lastly, I got this gold chocker necklace.

New Look – £3.99

Well, I hope you liked my little haul and be sure to comment below so I know to do more! I am a massive shopping lover and get new things at least twice a week … so bad for my bank balance.

Like, comment, follow and share!

See ya!

New Look Beauty: Favourite Brown Lipsticks (2 min read)

Hi everyone.

Here’s a quick mid-week post for you, to find out what it is carry on reading!

Recently I have checked out some new shades of New Looks Pure Colour lipsticks for Autumn/Winter season. Here are my favourite brown shades:

1) Brown Pattern – I think that this shade would look perfect on tanned/darker skinned individuals. The formula is moisturising and does not cake on your lips. I am definitely purchasing this one next time I have some cash!

2) Light Brown – The formula is exactly the same as I described in Brown Pattern. However, I think that this one would look 100x better on people with fairer skin as it is a very light brown shade!

3) Mid Brown – I have already reviewed this shade, to find out about it click here.

Below you can find the swatches of Brown Pattern and Light Brown:

As I always say, I think that New Look beauty is so underrated! I will continue to review their products in the beauty range and prove how good they are to you. 🙂

Hopefully this was a nice, quick read for you! What is your favourite brown lippy and where is it from?

Queens Garden Party (Part 2): Outfits (5 min read)

Hi everyone,

Here is a quick look book of me and my friends which also went to the Garden Party. In the previous post I have shared with you my make-up and hair, for that click here. Details of each item can be found below each photo. Enjoy!

Shop my look: Fascinator (local shop), White Top (New Look), Scarf (New Look), Midi-Skirt (New Look), Clutch Bag (New Look), Heels (New Look) …  oh yes I do love New Look haha.

As for my jewellery, the one which I specifically ordered did not arrive in time as it is being shipped all the way from Sweden. I had to improvise and so once again I went to New Look and picked out some pieces that would add the finishing touch to the whole look.

I have bought this three piece: a ring, earrings and a bracelet. I also found a matching necklace that can be seen on other photos. The gold details made my outfit look more expensive than it actually was and the pink stones matched my colour scheme. It was a win: win situation really.

Shop Mollies look: Fascinator (Debenhams), Dress (ASOS Petite), Scarf (Debenhams), Jewellery (Debenhams), Clutch Bag (Debenhams), Heels (New Look).

Shop Megans look: Hat (River Island), Dress (ASOS), Clutch Bag (Tiger Lily), Heels (TK Maxx).

I hope that you guys enjoyed this look book. It was such a special day and everyone looked absolutely gorgeous there. I would do anything to relive that day again!

Next post is the most awaited post for sure – it will be about the atmosphere and order of events at the Garden Party. So do stay tuned for that! It will be up within the next few days.

What do you guys think of out outfits? What is your favourite store to purchase items for a special occasion? I would love to find out in the comment section below!

Like, share, comment and follow if you enjoy my blog & help me grow for more fun content!

Bye for now,

New Look Beauty: Pure Colour Lipsticks (3 min read)

Today I will talk to you about New Look lipsticks because I thinks that they are very underrated. They only cost £3.99 and the cool thing about them is that they are produced in the same factory as Dior lipsticks. Yes, you read right! This means that they are very high quality and I can honestly say that they are a new must have in your make-up bag. Give them a go, you won’t regret it!

Their packaging is very classy: matte black with their logo in white writing. I think that they look gorgeous on the dressing table and on the lips.

Six Shades I Own:

I want my collection to expand with time, but for now i will show you what i’ve got.

1. Deep Pink (S74)

This is my most recent purchase. If you want to start wearing pinks but are scared to go for the bright shades – this is ideal for you!

2. Candy Pink (S71)

After you feel more confident in pink, this shade steps up your game. It is perfect for Wednesdays especially duuh.

3. Aubergine (S58)

This deep purple shade screams “look at me”. I would wear it on a night out or during Autumn, so for now it is not my most favourite out of all the shades here.

4. Camel (S17)

The name says it all – it literally is the shade of what I imagine the camel to be.

5. Mauve (S70)

My love for this shade can not be described. I have not seen such shade before, maybe that’s what intrigues me about it.

6. Mid Brown (S24)

Last but not least the on trend brown. If you are looking for M.A.Cs dupe of Stone, I would say this is it.

Here are some swatches, you can clearly see how pigmented they are and how smoothly they have applied onto my skin.

To conclude, all lipsticks go on smoothly and the colours are so nice in real life. So all of you beauty gurus should definitely give them a go! If you already use them, what shades are your favourite?

Be sure to like, share and comment on this post! If you would like me to try out other New Look beauty products do let me know so I can review them for you!

Bye for now.
