I Attended The World Premiere of Bridget Jones’s Baby! (7 min read)

Hi guys, I hope that you’re all having a great day!

So while you’re here you either:

a) waited to find out what event I went to because you read the London: Sightseeing Gallery and Surprises post.

b) you just came across this post and want to check it out.

A big welcome to you all! Please follow my blog and stick around for the future posts 🙂

So on the 5th of September 2016 I was mega lucky to end up in the VIP section of the Bridget Jones’s Baby World Premiere in London. It was held in the Odeon Cinema near Covent Gardens and by far makes it the second most exciting event that I have attended in my life! (The first one will always be the Queen’s Garden Party).

IMG_7531.JPG

That day casually started off with sightseeing and finished off meeting so many celebrities. To find out who I met/saw carry on reading!

As I arrived at the event I was let through to the VIP section, right beside the pink carpet, which gave me an amazing opportunity to take close up photos and sometimes even speak to one or two amazing people & share the experience with you guys!

IMG_7539.JPG

Lets start off by listing celebrities that I have come close to:

Renée Zellweger, Patrick Dempsey, Colin Firth, Celia Imrie, Ellie Goulding, Jade Jones, Zara Holland, Sharon Maguire, Sarah Solemani, Emre Turkmen (Years & Years), Marvin Humes, Rochelle Humes, Sally Phillips, Helen Fielding, Gemma Jones, Neil Pearson and one of my favourite Youtubers EVER Louise Pentland!

Check out the photos, they always speak more than words:

It was my first premiere and everything seemed so exciting. At the start there was a fun host who got the audience involved and warmed up before all the celebrities arrived. There was a DJ, lots of press and all together a great atmosphere.

Few hours into the event the cinema began to play snippets of the movie and showed live interviews. I was over the moon with how the night had gone so far, then one of the security guys came over and told me that I can personally meet Renée Zellweger and have a chat with her. I freaked out! To make it even better, that same security man saw that I forgot a notepad to get an autograph on, so he gave me one of the massive cardboard posters to keep. #foreverthankful

As I was put on a spot to speak to Renée, nothing amusing came out of me – just the usual “omg I love you and the movie, you look perfect in your outfit today…” that she probably hears a million times during a World Premiere. Good one Karolina, she was meant to remember you from then on. But she was the most down to earth celebrity! So kind, nice and even told me that I looked beautiful. Of course she also signed that massive piece of cardboard I had.

On one side I was so chuffed that I now had a signed piece of merchandise, but on the other I now had to travel with it from London all the way back home to Scotland.

FullSizeRender.jpg

To this day I have no idea what to do with it? It’s so massive! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Overall, it was such a great experience and if I ever get another opportunity to attend a premiere then I’ll be there within a heart beat. All I have to do now is actually find time to go to the cinema and watch Bridget Jones’s Baby properly!

Have you ever gone to a movie premiere? Have you already watched this movie or not yet?

London Sea Life Aquarium: Way Too Much Fun (5 min read)

Hey you all!

Have you read my London: Sightseeing Gallery & Surprises post? If yes then great, if not then definitely give it a look! 🙂

Now let’s bring out your inner child in this post as we will see so many cool creatures.

P.s some photos may be quite dark because I was not allowed to put my flash on in case it scared the animals! Hope you understand. x

Enjoy!

IMG_7403.JPG

First awesome attraction is the clear glass tunnel as you walk into the building. It was actually quite scary to walk next to massive sharks! So much trust had to be put in to that glass layer.

Generally speaking I was so happy to be able to visit this aquarium. It was for sure the biggest that I’ve ever been to and the animals seemed to be looked after well.

That place literally made me turn into a little girl again, who got very excited to see wee fish and weird sea creatures.

This Sea Life aquarium had different sections, dividing species from different parts of the world. There was so much to look at!

IMG_7409.JPG

Above are some strange looking types of star fish, although I can’t remember what they were called.

IMG_7411.JPG

And here are some funky, living plants! By living I mean they moved all the time and in their own way interacted with the little fish in their tank. Or maybe this was some type of fish and not a plant? But I don’t see a tale…? If anyone knows what this is please tell me haha!

IMG_7413.JPG

I was told that the above star fish is the biggest of its kind in Europe (for now). The photo doesn’t do the justice, it was at least twice as big as my hand in reality!

Octopuses. They love to play with toys and perform logical tasks, I mean I did not know that they are so intelligent! Did you?

IMG_7416.JPG

* A grumpy fish.*

IMG_7418.JPG

I’m literally so bad at naming sea species, I do apologise! But this one was so funny! It kept trying to make me laugh and played peek-a-boo for ages!

IMG_7425.JPG

At the time of my visit, this aquarium was sponsoring and promoting Finding Dory. There was a whole room dedicated to the movie with all the fish that played in it too!

IMG_7445.JPG

Whenever anyone asks me what my favourite animal is, I will always say turtles and tortoises!

The photo above is hilarious. Imagine if the turtles were having a serious meeting and there was me standing staring at them haha!

I must say I was very surprised to see a penguin section. Me and Lyall must have watched them for a good half an hour, observing how they play in the water and run around! There was a bit to peek your head through into their home, and once again I made a little penguin friend. Lyall wanted one too, but no penguin came to see him… *sad violin music played*.

Lastly, as you exit the building there is a cake that you walk in to see the sharks up close. A good way to end the sea life tour!

Overall, I would definitely go back to this aquarium. There were so many different species to see and the place provides you with lots of information around the fish tanks so you learn. Although, as you could probably tell I didn’t really learn many fish names … oops.

What’s your favourite animal? Let me know 🙂

London: Sightseeing Gallery & Surprises (5 min read)

Hi everyone! 🙂

As you may have read in the London Baby! post I had the chance to be there for four days. Today I will share with you my favourite places I saw and experiences I had while on the trip.

Enjoy!

IMG_7393.JPG

For out trip we have stayed with Lyall’s family, in the lovely town of Weybridge, and so we had to take the train to London on most days.

IMG_7394.JPG

Of course the first noticeable thing we went to see was the London Eye. It’s massive! We did not go on it during this trip as we already have done so back in 2013. For those wondering it takes around 30 minutes for the London Eye to spin once. You do get a wonderful view of London though, so if you ever get the chance to then definitely go on it!

IMG_7396.JPG

That day was so gloomy and rainy … but it’s okay, I’m so used to this weather anyway haha!

IMG_7401.JPG

I could not resist walking into the Shrek’s Adventure’s gift shop, I mean look at those adorable baby Shrek’s and the Gingerbread Man! I wanted them all!

IMG_7411.JPG

I then went to the London Sea Life Aquarium – so amazing! I took so many photos there that I will need to make another post on it, so keep your eyes out for this as it will be up tomorrow (Saturday).

IMG_7475.JPG

By the time that I got out of the London Sea Life Aquarium the rain had stopped, yay, and we could finally continue exploring the city without an umbrella.

IMG_7478.JPG

The next big attraction was the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben. It was then that I was told that Big Ben was in fact the bell inside of the clock. Who knew this before? I was mind blown haha!

IMG_7486.JPG

IMG_7490.JPG

*Lyall being a typical tourist*

IMG_7492.JPG

IMG_7494.JPG

IMG_7497.JPG

To travel around London we have in fact hired bicycles for the day, it was such a great idea! Not only did I exercise while sightseeing, but we were not stuck in the traffic once and did not have to worry about parking. I wish more (if any) cities in Scotland had bike hire stations.

IMG_7498.JPG

img_7523

The Buckingham Palace. I hope that one day I get the chance to tour it inside!

IMG_7524.JPG

I can’t believe that these guards have to stand there all day long with minimal movement. I could never do that for living!

IMG_7525.JPG

It’s also so funny to look back at photos I took and see people posing or taking their own photos.

bpalace.jpg

IMG_7526.JPG

I took the underground once or twice and It was so confusing. You need to get on or off so fast that it leaves you minimal time to think. I admire people who take it daily – you must be pro’s!

IMG_7527.JPG

And my favourite place to spend time in London is for sure the Trafalgar Square. There are always so many talented people showcasing their work there and you have plenty of restaurants/shops around to buy food from and enjoy it at the Square.

Lastly, on our final night in London I had a big surprise! Below is a little hint for you guys that are curious what it is and can maybe figure? You will find out exactly where I was or what I did on Monday’s post! *exciting*. 🙂

I hope that you guys like this style of posts, filled with pictures rather than massive paragraphs, as personally I always find gallery based travel posts so entertaining!

M.A.C Amber Times Nine Eye Shadow Palette Review (3 min read)

Hi!

I today we are talking M.A.C … one of my favourite High End brands ever! I have already published a few posts related to their make-up, if you want check them out here:

  1. Get A Free Lipstick From M.A.C Cosmetics
  2. Haul Time: Latest M.A.C Cosmetic Purchases
  3. M.A.C Favourites 2015

All caught up? Great, now lets get started!

So this is the first time I ever purchased M.A.C eye shadows… finally! I always wanted to try them out!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I instantly fell in love with it because of its travel size and you get nine beautiful neutral shades that can easily create both a night and a daytime look.

FullSizeRender_3

Shades:

Top Row: Cozy Grey; Kitties; Georgia Peach.

Middle Row: Ricepaper; Creative Copper; Cork.

Bottom Row: Don’t Tell; Aromatic; Pepper, Please.

FullSizeRender_4

This picture shows you how the Top Row shadows turn out on your skin. As you can see they are very gentle yet well pigmented. I love to use them for shadow transitions and base.

FullSizeRender_5

Here is the Middle Row; it features my all time favourite shade which is in the middle – Creative Copper. It is such a gorgeous gold & shimmery shade! I get so many complements while wearing it. It is well worth looking into getting gals.

sdg

Lastly, the Bottom Row: these shades are much darker and so work well in the outer corner of your eyelid and to define your lash line. They blend well and I generally enjoy using them!

Favourite Look:

The first look I love creating is by applying Cozy Grey all over my eyelid, Cork in my crease, Aromatic in the outer corner, Kitties in the inner corner & a thin sweep of Creative Copper all over the lid.Additionally, you can apply some Kitties on your lower lash line to highlight that area. 🙂 Blend it all together and you achieve such a flattering look!

Overall I give this palette a massive thumbs up! There are so many fun shades that will work with any look and most importantly it is such a great price for nine M.A.C shadows. My obsession with eye shadows is unreal right now. Are any of you guys in the same position haha?

Do you have any M.A.C eye shadows? If so what shades do you recommend?

Adventure Continues: Time For Poland (2 min read)

Hi, how are you all doing? I hope that the answer is great!

I have been doing quite a lot traveling this week, a few days ago I was in London and today I’m moving on to visiting Poland for a week. The flight from Glasgow to Crakow will take around two and a half hours, not too bad I guess, but I feel so uncomfortable being in the air! The thought of falling freaks me out.

As some of you may know I originally come from Poland and this time I’m going back to pay a visit to my grandparents and to explore my home town! I definitely want to go to Sephora as my shopping priority. We do not have Sephora here in the UK, so I can’t freaking wait!

Are any of you from Poland? Or have you ever visited Poland before? Let me know in the comment section below!

As always some exciting content is scheduled for you for Mondays and Fridays!

See you later. x

10 Uses For: Coconut Oil (3 min read)

Hi,

Today I will speak to you about the ways in which I use the ever so hyped about coconut oil. Is it worth the attention and does it really work? I will try and help you make your mind up about that in this post.

Enjoy.

Firstly, I always reach out to this organic coconut oil by Midsummer. I love it because its ingredients are only coconut oil and no added flavourings or chemicals, and it’s approved by the organic soil association. This way I am sure of what I put on my body.

IMG_6913.JPG

There are countless uses for coconut oil, but below you will see my favourites:

1. Apply on the skin as a basic lotion.

2. Mix with sugar granules for a body scrub.

3. Use as a natural tanning lotion & after sun cooling lotion.

4. On cuticles to help nails grow strong and shiny.

5. Can be rubbed into your scalp to stimulate hair growth. I usually do this overnight and wash my hair twice in the morning to get off the excess oil.

IMG_3580

6. Apply on the ends of your hair to prevent splitting and make it feel like silk.

7. Rub on your face and then rinse with hot water & warm face towel to remove any type of make-up (even tough waterproof one). It will all glide off smoothly!

8. If you do the one above, your eyebrows will condition at the same time, stimulating their growth too! Talking about eyebrows, you can also use this oil as a brow gel to set your hairs.

8. Whiten your teeth with it – mix with warm water and keep it in your mouth for 5 minutes.

9. Apparently if you consume it daily then your immune system and even your metabolism will boost. However, I don’t like the idea of eating such oil daily so I drink coconut water instead! Same idea, less fat factor.

FullSizeRender

10. For these awful summer nights that you get a ton of mosquito bites, guys I got you. Just rub some of the coconut oil on your bite and it will stop itching & heal sooner!

Overall, I think that there should be hype about coconut oil: it’s natural, easy to buy and works miracles on almost anything! All of the uses I spoke about above I do on a regular basis or seasonally, and work for me. Bare in mind that everyone is different, and if your skin is combination-oily then maybe it’s not the best option for you to apply on your body.

Hope you liked this post! I personally adore coconut oil and since it’s sold almost everywhere there are legit no excuses towards not using it.

How many of you use coconut oil? Have you got any other tried out uses for it? let me know in the comments!

I wish you all a fabulous day,

Speak soon,

Love, K.
